Miami’s year-round sunny temperatures make it a hotspot for outdoor leisure, and many flock to the city for its excellent sports facilities and significant sporting events. The upcoming Miami Open is the biggest annual tennis event in the city. This yearly occasion brings in the biggest and brightest stars in tennis and typically hosts hundreds of thousands of attendees.

The Miami Open will run from March 19th-April 2nd and is held at Miami Gardens at Hard Rock Stadium. While this event doesn’t have the status of other major tournaments, such as the U.S. Open, it is still a crucial part of the ATP and WTA tours. The calendar will be full of exciting singles and doubles matchups for both men and women.

The Miami Open will have 96 men and 96 women competing in the respective singles tournaments and 32 teams in each of the doubles competitions. The qualified players will face off in a single elimination tournament until all that remain are two individuals for singles, and two teams for doubles, who will then square off in the finals. The winners of each tournament will receive 1,000 ATP or WTA points, which helps shape the ATP and WTA leaderboards.

In the past, this tournament has been dominated by Serena Williams, Andre Agassi, and Novak Djokovic, and there will be no shortage of star power this year. Last year, Spanish star Carlos Alcaraz claimed the men’s singles tournament in a memorable victory over Norwegian Casper Ruud. In the women’s bracket, Polish superstar Iga Swiatek defeated Japan’s Naomi Osaka in dominant fashion. While the bracket has yet to be set for this year, it is certain to feature many of the biggest names in the sport.

Like all great sporting events, the Miami Open is an experience for tennis enthusiasts and casual sports fans alike at the world-famous Hard Rock Stadium, which also houses the Miami Dolphins and Hurricanes. There will be delectable culinary experiences throughout the stadium offered by popular Miami venues, including taquerias, sushi hotspots, pizza dives, and many more. There will also be public art installations, live music from local musicians and DJs, and gathering areas for fans to mingle.

Tickets are available online, with costs differing according to the event stage and access levels. Single-session tickets range from $18 for the first round of play to $1,400 in the final round. Attendees can also group sessions at a reduced cost with multi-session tickets or purchase duration packages to access the entire tournament.
