The 2026 BMW Championship will return to Bellerive Country Club in St. Louis from August 18 through 23, marking the tournament’s first appearance at the course since 2008. Practice rounds will take place Tuesday and Wednesday, followed by four rounds of competition from August 20 through 23.
The tournament is the second of three events in the FedExCup Playoffs. The top 50 players in the FedExCup standings will compete at Bellerive, with the field narrowing to 30 for the TOUR Championship at East Lake. The BMW Championship carries a $20 million purse, adding further significance to a week that determines who advances to Atlanta.
Bellerive’s current course was designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr. and opened in 1960. Five years later, it hosted the U.S. Open, where Gary Player completed the career Grand Slam. The club later hosted the PGA Championship in 1992 and 2018, along with the 2008 BMW Championship won by Camilo Villegas. It is also scheduled to host the Presidents Cup in 2030.

Grounds tickets vary in price depending on the day, with public seating and concessions available throughout the course. The Trophy Club beside the seventh green offers shaded outdoor seating and a climate-controlled lounge, while the Gateway Club overlooks the 17th green with all-inclusive dining, covered stadium seating and its own climate-controlled interior.
The tournament’s location in west St. Louis County also leaves time to explore beyond the course. Downtown Clayton offers restaurants, galleries, boutiques and hotels within a compact area. Farther into the city, Forest Park is home to the Saint Louis Art Museum, Missouri History Museum and Saint Louis Zoo.
With 50 players competing for 30 places at East Lake, the BMW Championship carries consequences throughout the field. Its return to a course with a long championship history makes St. Louis the site of one of the most important weeks of the 2026 PGA TOUR season.
