The Rocket Classic presented by AlumniFi returns to Detroit Golf Club from July 30 through August 2. As an event that has become part of the city’s summer sports calendar since first arriving in Detroit in 2019, the 2026 tournament carries added significance as the final Rocket Classic, following Rocket’s decision not to renew its title sponsorship beyond 2026.

This year’s Rocket Classic is expected to bring a strong field to Detroit, with current commitments including Cameron Young, Russell Henley, Xander Schauffele, Keegan Bradley, Rickie Fowler, and Tony Finau. The four-day event will feature tournament play on Detroit Golf Club’s Donald Ross-designed course, which is listed by the PGA TOUR as a par-72 layout playing 7,370 yards. Founded in 1899, Detroit Golf Club has long been part of the city’s golf landscape, and its North Course has recently undergone restoration work.

The Rocket Classic has always been tied closely to Detroit. Beyond the competition itself, the tournament brings visitors to the city during the height of summer and has helped bring national golf attention to Detroit while supporting community-focused initiatives across the region.
