From November 1st to 10th, the 47th Denver Film Festival will continue its tradition of highlighting filmmakers from across the world and honoring a wide range of cinematic contributions. Central to the festival’s mission is fostering a vibrant and innovative platform that amplifies diverse voices in film and connects filmmakers with the community.
As an award-winning and regionally significant event, the Denver Film Festival is the largest of its kind in the area, consistently offering attendees a rich selection of feature films, shorts, documentaries, and more. Beyond film, the festival has become a space where audiences can explore culture, history, and heritage through cinema.
This year’s lineup includes over 200 films and presents a series of riveting conversations and activities. Screenings and events will take place at various venues across Denver’s metro area. One highlight is the “Colorado Spotlight” section, which showcases the local filmmaking community and the impact of their work. Feature films in this category include Chain Reactions, Blind Sighted, Procession, The Lost Season, and more. Other sections include “Special Presentations,” a collection of the year’s most talked-about titles; “In Competition,” featuring films contending for prestigious awards; “Spotlight Documentary,” showcasing compelling non-fiction films; and “Retrospective,” honoring iconic films and filmmakers.
