The Cherry Creek Arts Festival will return to Denver over Independence Day weekend, bringing three days of visual art, live music, food, and interactive programming to the streets of Cherry Creek North. Taking place July 3 through 5, the free event will mark its 35th year as one of the city’s signature summer traditions.

The festival will feature 250 artists selected by its 2026 jury, including 20 award winners returning from last year and five emerging artists. Their work will span painting, photography, sculpture, ceramics, jewelry, mixed media, and other disciplines, giving visitors the opportunity to meet and view work by artists from across the country and beyond.

Atlanta-based mixed-media artist Bennett has been selected as this year’s featured artist. Her work, Well Wishes and Dirty Dishes, explores the warmth, humor, and occasional complications of bringing people together and will appear on the festival’s commemorative poster.

Art remains the main focus of the weekend, but the programming extends throughout the neighborhood. Live performances will take place each day, with a lineup spanning jazz, soul, blues, reggae, rock, and other genres. Food vendors, beverage areas, children’s activities, and hands-on creative experiences will add to the atmosphere across the festival grounds.

For an early look, the ticketed Opening Night celebration will take place along Detroit Street between Second and Third avenues. Guests will be able to explore a full block of artist booths in a smaller setting, accompanied by live entertainment, food, and drinks.

Beyond the summer festival, organizer CherryArts supports arts education and access throughout Colorado, connecting its celebration of professional artists with creative opportunities for students across the state.
