Home Staging Resource Best of the Best September – Summer Edition 2022 award-winning stage
TS Staging and Design provides several services that give those selling their home the extra push they need to find the right buyer and the best deal. The purpose of home staging is to organize a space and decorate a home’s interior to transform the property’s aesthetic and create a more appealing space in which prospective buyers can picture themselves. It helps give homes a new look with a style curated by experienced designers, which can drive up home value and increase offers.
TS Staging and Design is a women-owned and-operated business launched in 2021 that provides staging and design services to sellers or owners in Maine. It is the product of the collaboration between owner and designer Theresa Bouchard, lead designer Stephanie Eklund, and designer Amber Bouchard. While TS Staging and Design hasn’t been around long, it has already garnered much recognition. It was awarded the Best of the Best four times in 2022 by the Home Staging Resource and best service by Houzz.com in 2022. TS Staging and Design’s work has also been featured by the National Association of Realtors.

Home staging has proven benefits that make it a valuable investment for homeowners. According to 2021 and 2022 data from the Real Estate Staging Association (RESA), the average investment of 1.3% in home staging resulted in a 7.1% over-list return on investment in 4,800 staged properties, and out of those properties, 73% sold over list price. An added benefit, according to RESA, is that 90% of homes staged before going on the market sell in 90% less time. Home staging makes it easier for buyers to envision themselves in a space and helps them better see a home’s potential. While many homeowners take pride in their home’s design, TS Staging and Design’s professional home stagers, all certified by Home Staging Resource, provide a high-level design experience that emphasizes the best aspects of a space.

TS Staging and Design provides several options for homeowners, including occupied home staging consultations and vacant home stagings. Occupied home staging consultations include an actionable, detailed home assessment report created by a certified home staging designer that contains recommendations related to organization, furniture/décor placement, curb appeal, renovations, and additional items to purchase that would enhance the home. Vacant home stagings include a home assessment conducted by a certified home staging designer, during which they’ll get a feel for the home’s aesthetic, flow and location. The designer would gain an overall first impression, and share recommendations (if any) for home updates or renovations that should be completed before the home is listed.

After a designer completes a home assessment, and a homeowner accepts the designer’s
proposal, they will set a staging date, and the design planning will proceed. Drawing on their expertise and experience, the designer will thoughtfully create a layout and select items for each room included in the staging plan. Then, TS Staging and Design’s movers will bring that plan to life and prepare the home for prospective buyers. Once the furnishings are no longer needed, the client and stagers will schedule the de-stage day, during which TS Staging and Design staff members will remove their furnishings from the home.
TS Staging and Design features a team of talented designers with a personable approach that ensures homeowners receive the best possible results. Call or email them today to schedule a home staging assessment!
