Lake season may still be a few weeks out, but North Texas boat shopping starts early. The North Texas Boat Show returns to the Plano Event Center for its seventh annual edition, bringing a walk-in, compare-and-chat format that’s built to be practical: new and pre-owned inventory on the floor, pro-shop essentials within reach, and dealers on site to talk through what actually fits your weekends.

Presented by Phil Dill Boats and Slalom Shop, the show runs February 12–15, with doors open Thursday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Admission is free, which makes it easy to swing by with a short list—or show up curious and leave with real clarity.

Expect a broad mix of boats—pontoons, wakeboats, cruisers, and more—alongside the ownership side of the equation: accessories, gear, and the small-but-important add-ons that turn a boat from “nice to look at” into “ready for the water.” The event also leans into a fun, low-pressure atmosphere with giveaways and show-style deals.

To make a day of it, Plano is an easy place to stretch the outing. After a few hours at the Event Center, nearby Legacy West and The Shops at Legacy are a natural follow-on for a polished lunch, coffee, or dinner—more “keep the momentum going” than “plan a whole trip,” but enough to turn boat shopping into a full, satisfying Saturday.
