Hannah Tai used to make beautiful wedding cakes on The Food Network. Now, she’s taking the real estate market by storm.

Tai discovered herself baking when her vegetarian diet made cooking more challenging and she didn’t want to be put in positions where she had to cook meat. It felt even more right when she discovered her father, a refugee from Nazi Germany told her that his family had owned bakeries throughout Germany. Tai first learned the craft of cake making at community college and soon became the lead pastry chef at celebrity chef Jeremiah Tower’s Santa Fe Bar and Grill in Berkeley. In 2000, she started Hannah’s Edible Art and spent years creating intricate cake creations for weddings and special occasions. She eventually closed up shop to focus on her 11-year old real estate career. Now, when clients purchase or sell a home with her, they also get a custom-made cake from Hannah.

So what drew Hannah from baking to real estate? The answer is simple: she loves home. In Hannah’s words “I am a real homebody!”. With her new career, Hannah loves getting to know her clients. She loves being creative and thinking outside of the box.
