Charlotte’s winter calendar gets a jolt of on-the-water energy when the Discover Boating Mid-Atlantic Boat Show returns to the Charlotte Convention Center from February 5–8. Timed perfectly for buyers and boaters who like to plan early, the four-day show is designed to bring the season’s newest models, gear, and dockside know-how into one walkable, indoor setting—ideal for comparing layouts, options, and price points without hopping between dealerships.
On the show floor, expect a broad cross-section of boats and marine accessories, with opportunities to step aboard different styles side by side and talk through features and availability with exhibitors. The show also includes events and lounges that keep the pace social.
Several show features are positioned as built-in highlights. The show hosts an Opening Night Dock Party on Thursday, plus the Discover Boating Lake Life Lounge—a place to take a break, browse deck-living inspiration, and catch live acoustic music during select hours. For visitors who want practical takeaways, Fred’s Shed How-To Center is billed as a hands-on stop for ownership basics and maintenance tips, whether you’re new to boating or leveling up for the season ahead.

While you’re in the area, you can visit the NASCAR Hall of Fame next door to the Convention Center complex as an add-on before dinner. For an arts-forward detour, Mint Museum Uptown at Levine Center for the Arts is a short ride away on South Tryon. And if the weather cooperates, take a stroll in Romare Bearden Park.
